The Dry Fusion system that we use means

  • No shrinkage
  • No wet smells
  • Carpets stay cleaner longer
What is Dry Fusion and how does it work?

We use an advanced carpet cleaning system know as Dry Fusion. As you can see, it's more than a match for even the dirtiest carpets. But what is Dry Fusion and how does it work?

Dry Fusion has been developed for todays carpets. There have been big changes in the construction of carpet and carpet fabrics over the last few years, most noteably commercial and domestic carpet has become shorter. Because of the denser packed pile, airflow is reduced and the carpet is left wetter. Add to this increased soilage and detergent is left behind.

These changes mean that traditional extraction cleaning methods leave the carpet wetter for longer, with more residual dirt left behind due to poor airflow. Dry Fusion has been designed to maximise cleaning performance on these new carpets. It works because it doesn't rely on airflow to clean or to dry.

Dry Fusion is the only carpet cleaning system that hot cleans, deodorises, stain protects then heat dries every type of carpet. It's all in the same process, and because it is patented, nobody else can use this amazing system of cleaning. By taking all the best features of hot water extraction (hot solution, "Shot of Steam"), the best features of dry cleaning (low moisture, mechanical agitation) and combining them together with the patented hot cleaning pad system that constantly heats the fibres as they are being cleaned - you have some of the most outstanding results ever seen.

The system is equally effective on stair carpets, as this photograph shows.

Your carpet is deep cleaned using constantly heated (up to 85C) cleaning solution and rotating pads.

A fluoro resin protector and "stain blocker" is applied to every fibre in the carpet during cleaning. This helps to reduce dry resoiling of the fibre from dust and dirt and imparts soil repellency so that oily and food spills will be easier to reclean when they first occur.

The heat applied to the Cleaner and Protector Activator creates a thermal reaction which dramatically improves cleaning, protection and drying performance.

Moisture is "flashed" through the carpet to create a level of dryness never before experienced in any carpet cleaning process.

Blocking stains

A unique additive helps block dye sites in the fibre that normally allow food spills and beverages becoming ugly stains. When re-cleaned with Dry Fusion - using the 'shot of steam' most stains are removed without spotting or special effort.

All Fibre Safety

Extraction and other rotary dry cleaning methods use high pH presprays to remove oily soils and protein stains. Sometimes this is followed by an acid rinse to neutralise. Most carpet mills, especially using wool or stain treated nylon reject any exposure to prespray of pH 10 to 12, even if only on the carpet for 5 minutes. Damage can take place in this critical exposure stage. Dry Fusion uses novel technology that removes the heaviest soils from the fibre at pH 7.2. A neutral pH is approved by all carpet fibre manufacturers and carpet mills.

Activator - the chemical

Our research into the area of fluoro surfactants, fluro stain protectors and polymer stain blocking resins has enabled us to develop a system that removes more stains than any other dry or wet method as well as to increase stain and dirt repellancy.

Enviromentally aware

All emulsifiers and greasy soil solublisers are highly biodegradable and degrade rapidly. The natural orange and vanilla extracts used as odour neutralisers have been selected for their non-irritant qualities for those with sensitive noses and bronchial problems.

Bactoshield and antimicrobial

For healthcare, sporting facilities, day care and at home we apply Bactoshield in the same manner as Activator, except that it has a more powerful cleaning action to deal with the type of stains found in healthcare and child care centres. Oily linaments, medicines, crayons and make-up; even traffic lane yellowing on carpet tiles and olefin fibre is removed more easily with Bactoshield.

A 'Triclosan' shield on each fibre

As we clean, a water-proof, antimicrobial finish is being permanently bonded and locked in place by the fluorocarbon stain protective coating. Previously, the only long term treatment for carpets was when an antimicrobial was added to the fibre during manufacture. There is no proven product on the market today that can provide cleaning and be equal in antimicrobial effectiveness.

Bactoshield is safe

Triclosan has been used in toothpaste and medical products for years and is non-toxic. It helps prevent the growth of moulds, fungi and tinea as well as the problem bacteria like E-Coli and Staph Aureus.

Urine and body odours

Healthcare and sporting facilities are notorious for resistant odours like urine, vomit and body odour. Bactoshield removes ammonia and even pet smells. If it works in the commercial sector, imagine how good it is in the home.
