Global Education Management Ltd (GEM for short) is a UK based Education Company providing paid internships, work experience placements and management training opportunities in the hospitality, education and business management sectors around the world. Types of Practical Training:

Over the last few years, we have been establishing a reputation for specialising in practical training and educational programmes for colleges and their students.

We have arranged practical training for educational partners in hotels and commercial companies, for example the Marriott, Accor, Hilton, Relais and Chateaux, Holiday Inn, SLH hotels, Michelin Star restaurants, Price Waterhouse Coopers, insurance firms, SMEs and large retailers including Sainsbury's and Tesco. The training is delivered in the work place to develop key skills such as communication,management and organisational skills.

Practical learning opportunities are often needed to complete a course of study and to apply classroom education into the work place.

We manage the processes for colleges, universities and educational partners in the UK and overseas.

Examples of our projects:
  1. We are working with several UK colleges including Universities, Further Education Colleges and private colleges with Highly Trusted Sponsorship licence schemes on exclusive contracts. We help them by developing a range of business and hospitality work experience opportunities. The practical training aspects of these are vital for their students' academic studies.

  2. We are working with leading hospitality schools in France, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Australia, and Singapore to provide paid management training programmes and internships with luxury hotel brands in the UK. We also offer assistance on guiding; counselling, orientating, administering; establishing practical training opportunities for the students; forming a work experience training plan and referring Visa applications to our license immigration advisors. We also assist with accommodation, arrival, settling in and monitoring the practical training plan.

  3. Moreover, we have expanded our scope from the hospitality sector to roles in commercial companies giving valuable insights into the areas of sales and marketing, IT, HR and accountancy.

  4. We have also extended the choice of countries for our work experience programme. Further destinations include the Maldives, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Thailand and the Middle East.

Destinations of Work Placements

UK: We can provide paid internships and management training programmes in the UK for EU and Non-EU students who are currently reside outside the UK. Types of programmes include structured training plans at NVQ level 3 to 4. Students are also eligible for "Work Experience Certificates" issued by the National Council for Work Experience (NCWE) upon completion. We work closely with OISC registered immigration advisors that offer advice and process necessary documents.

Middle East: We arrange internship programmes with established organisations in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. We advise students about regional cultures and the opportunities available. Students often receive the benefits of accommodation, meals, transportation, and relocation arrangements.

Far East: In China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore practical experiences give a unique blend of insights in this growing market.
